I'm not sure if you also included that nuance implicitly, but I don't think that was all on you and I personally think that if you tone done yourself (cause if you would've said that to me I would've thought that you're really fucking cool) you'd keep the ones who don't actually fit and the one's who do have a harder time seeing that cause ur being less u
Besides – I personally (and even though I said personally before I might've said that more come
across less solipsistic here I mean that much more) think that such a small thing should've not have such a big impact? Or at least not after talking about it
See, I feel like it’s an uneven playing field. When people tease you it looks like they’re roasting a small, anxious child. When you tease them it’s like that child is learning to break out of their shell by clowning on a stuffy teacher. Your shortness makes you an inherently sympathetic figure.
Tbh I definitely fit the archetype of a person who will eventually turn into a Manic Pixie Dream They, but with that being said, I feel like you two were the same pieces trying to find their counterparts within each other when you would instead both benefit from the same thing.
I'm the kind of person who gets little t-triggered when I'm teased so I don't have friends who tease me, but I also recognize if I grew up differently, teasing is a lighthearted way to express love. No one sense of humor is ubiquitous but finding out the incompatibilities sooner rather than later let's you both leave this with the least hurt feelings :^)
It probably would have been hard to date someone who "doesn't have much of a sense of humor" anyway, woof. Better to get out quick than be stuck with someone who, while kinda cool, also maybe kinda sucks? They are correct that The Fifth Season IS the best though, no superlative hesitation here.
Loved this. Will continue reading these to see if you're self-aware enough to receive constructive feedback on them or if that level of nuance from a reader is too much for you :)
(and a note on your note: "rings a vague bell" is actually like, sick imagery, and your hasty dismissal of it means I'm going to steal it and feel no remorse. That rings a vague bell. A weird sound, a warped pell. etc etc etc)

But maybe that's just me
